So as of today, I’m 25 weeks out from starting my contest prep. I’m planning on hitting a 12 week prep, so for the final 4 weeks of my off season, I plan to really start cleaning things up. But for now, the focus is on how can I make the most improvements over the next 6 months.
I always stress the importance of learning to be objective when it comes to self evaluation. Meaning, for competitors, it’s important to be able to look at your contest photos, assess where you are and what you can do better, then proceed with an intelligent plan to evolve and change. In looking over my own photos, the parts I really want/need to bring up are my arms, shoulders, back (detail and width), legs (glutes, hams, calves). So every workout is about how I can maximize my gains, and how I can continue to bring the best physique possible to the stage next season. A few of the things that I feel is paramount when it comes to hypertrophy is: training volume, progressive overload, and time under tension.
In this video, I’m touching on these very points. And I’m hitting up a really awesome kick azz arm blast. The pump after this workout was UNREAL!
