Yes absolutely, and I totally agree with you. My gripe definitely isn't with the program itself. In all honesty, it's a classic periodized workout simplified for the general public to do. Although the one pit fall, as with ANY dvd series is the fact that bordem can and does sit in after a while, and then you have the falling off the program crew. Another thing is that when you are repeatedly doing the same things all the time, and possibly without the watchful eye for form etc, you can indeed set in motion a cumulative injury cycle of constant repetition of the same moves placing stress on the central nervous system, joints, and more. So that's why it's crucial to take the information, especially in the way that Tony explains the "muscle confusion" program paradigm, and learn new exercises similar to the motion patterns in the video. Replace these motions with your new and more challening ones. Keep cycling the way you would with the dvd, just keep your body in a state where it's not constantly doing the same thing over and over. It will be MUCH better for your sanity. I'm hoping that from this site, in addition to the knowledge that people gather from the programs they are currently following, I'm able to shed some more light on the science of this process. And for people to see, it's not as crazy nor difficult as the industry would make it out to be. Removing the smoke and mirrors so to speak, and getting down to the nitty gritty so you all could be FREE.

Hey Roxie you are right. Anyone that has done any research on working out should be familiar with muscle confusion. I also totally get your point about beach body and the money that they're making off of folks. But lets face it, they had the where-with-all to market it! It kind of sucks but what can you do about it? Now for myself, I did purchase it (yes I'm confessing!) but got it off of Craigslist for less than half. Now this is the thing, for people like me who can't afford a personal trainer and who have difficulty sticking to a routine (or simply mapping one out); it works. There are some pit falls to it like by week 9 to 10 I was worn out and a little bored. Also, do to home projects cut it off at week 10. However, I will try another round. It did make me stronger and and I slimmed down some. Don't get me wrong I'm not pushing it on folks but some of us have to do what we have to do. Plus, you're in Cali and I'm in Philly; so unfortunately I couldn't get with you anyway..... :-( All the best of luck to you and you keep rock'n it Girl. You look fabulous!!!! I am so inspired by the "Figure Ladies". I keep telling myself I'll be one of you one day!
