Hey look at what I found online:

I am as of today just about 13 weeks out from Team U!! Talk about being ready for a show huh? I love getting motivation by watching other girls take the stage. I especially loved watching this video because you can see the girls who turned pro, and see why. I’ve been really upping my posing practice lately. I always practice with a video camera, and I take photos as well so that I can see what clearly works and what doesn’t. I should start posting those videos to get feedback. Most times I look really crazy though, hair all wild, sometimes I don’t put on lotion (y’all don’t see those pics) lol. But I’m getting better and better each practice session. I’m finally learning how to pose my legs, last year, um yeah, I looked crazy. Time to redeem myself for sure.

I’ve got to send in my entry form for both shows. I’ll do that next week. I was waiting to see if the airline prices would go down. They haven’t… In fact they jumped about $30.  I ONLY fly Virgin. So I”m going to just go ahead and buy my tickets. I’m going to stay in NYC for a week. I’m staying with my mom, back in my childhood apartment in the faaaaabulous Park Slope! I miss my hood so much, SO SO Much! And it will be summer so it’s going to be gorgeous! I can’t wait to waste time sitting in Union Square people watching with one of my best friends. I’m going to by that point have to still be dieting because the USAs will be RIGHT after Team U. So maybe Erik can plan out a free day for me to have some Thai food, and chinese food, and pizza!! Oh and a hot dog from Grey’s Papaya. After that, I’m all good. So since I don’t have to worry about where I’m staying, I’m going to just rent a car for the weekend to get to and from Jersey from Brooklyn. Nothing fancy. A few places I was looking at have a nice little Ford Focus for like $250 for 4 days. Perfect. I also need to book my tanning appointment, which I will do in about 2 weeks or so.

So these are the things that I am really focusing on now as the dates draw near. I’m excited. I feel a little more at ease since my body is coming together nicely. Now my focus is really on the presentation aspect of the show. I want to step up my game big time. I’m not sure how I’m going to wear my hair. I may do straight and sleek, or just flip the ends with a nice feather curl. I’m going to also lightly stone my shoes. I love the shoes with the stoning on it. I have a pair like that already, but I want the stones to match my suit. Nothing extravagant, just pretty.

I think tomorrow I’m going to go to the store to pick up the jewelry I had my eye on as well.

Bringing the total package together! You’ve only got one chance to make a first impression, right?
