Ugggh Stereotypes in Casting!

Ok get this shit…   

I get this email from my agent to confirm an audition for Planet Fitness. They want “A BODYBUILDER HUGE HUGE HUGE, REALLY MANLY LOOKING, ROIDED OUT LOOK, TO SING IN A DEEP VOICE IN A SHOWER….” WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK!!!!!!!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?

And I’m SO mad that they submitted me for this because it’s THIS shit that I try so hard not to represent. I try to be a positive view for our industry because it’s bad enough that this is what everyone thinks of our sport and ALL the women in it.

But here’s the kicker, I HAD TO FUCKING CONFIRM! Because I have turned down about 7 auditions in a row because of my time/schedule w/ the competing, and going out of town, and other things that I have been booked for (media wise, I recently was a guest on a local talk show, and I’m also consulting on a film for the fitness/aspect that’s involved with it). So if I turned down another, they would drop me. I’m sure they would cause my agent was pissed I turned down the last audition they had for me because I had to tape the talk show, which he had no idea was actually a big deal since it has to do with my actual career…

I bet Lauren Powers will be there though… lol
