I’m now maintaining where I am, I’m not trying to gain any more at all. The only exception is the work going into my shoulders where I’m focusing on building the right side still. But that’s coming along.
It’s so crazy to see what’s going into your body as far as the break down. I decided to just eat normally to see where I am calorically and to see the macro and micro breakdown of my foods. Well some days not eating enough, some days minerals/vitamins are off, and other days I had too much sugar (mmmm hot cocoa and coffee). So with EXACTLY six months to the day this past weekend til Team U, I’m shaping it up.
In order to maintain, I need to be hitting about 2100 cals/day. I’m on a 40/30/30 split, Carbs/Pro/Fat. I realize that I need to get back into super clean mode with healthy fats added. I don’t want to go the route of pizza and cheeseburgers as the thing that fills out my diet to get me bulking or maintaining high caloric/macro levels. So I went grocery shopping for the goods — more chicken breast (frozen kind), fresh Turkey breast halves to crock pot up, this week my greens are spinach leaves, frozen veggies of all varieties as I’m too lazy to clean and prepare fresh ones daily, olive oil, whole wheat bread, and natural peanut butter. I’ve got a TON of herbs in my cabinets so the taste combinations are endless. Today’s eating is SO MUCH better. It’s cleaner but very filling and yummy. I’m even enjoying my white Jasmine rice because afterall I’m in my off season and I like to enjoy stuff before I hit up the brown rice only mix in my cut.
Here’s what I made today for lunch:
6oz Chicken Breast (weight before cooking)
1 Tbsp of Olive Oil
Herbal Mix of Rosemary, Thyme, Savory, and Marjoram
A dash of Sea Salt and Pepper
1 cup of jas. rice
52g of fresh spinach raw
mixed with 1 TBSP of Olive Oil
Dash of Italian Seasoning, Small Amount of Sea Salt, and Pepper
It was filling, delicious, healhty, and helping me to reach my macros/cals without drama. LOL.
I snapped the pics below while at the gym yesterday filming another episode of my Muscle Is The NEW Sexy workout series on YouTube. I’m still keeping it kinda tight, and putting on some good muscle without too much fat so I feel ok. I love my lower body! And my back! My favorite body parts indeed.
Today’s workout will be lower body. I’m using the power plate, hitting plyos, and rocking out all power stuff for today as far as variables, volume, intensity is concerned.
I pray I can walk tomorrow.
